Yet still manage to win Radwood class and then have a rule named after you?
I bet an AWD Topaz could finish ahead of at least 2 other cars.
Do they make Hoosiers that would fit the stock wheels?
In reply to slowbird :
Would the other two be Fords also (I say as I realize I'm building a Ford for the Challenge).

You think the drivetrain of an AWD topaz on Hoosiers would withstand the launch on a track treated with VHT?

What power-adder do you have in mind? Cause that car is a DOG! It would probably be slower on the launch because of the stickyness keeping the tires from rolling.

From what I've heard it can't even handle full throttle with cheap Walmart tires level of grip
Just to add my approval, I can personally guarantee that a last place challenge finish is still a ton of fun.

Once, maybe twice if you're lucky!
On the other hand, the grip gained around the turns would more than make up for the time lost launching gingerly.
Also, not that it's an easy swap, but SHO engines have been made to fit into these. Maybe not in combination with the AWD though.

A local friend suggested a cossie drivetrain swap under it as a sleeper. I hope that he was kidding.
