I think that I want another RX8. Friday a friend crashed mine and it is most likely totaled. Projected insurance settlement is $8,000- $10,000. The only aftermarket parts I had were Bilstein shocks, I am looking for a similar car.

Thanks, Braden

Mine might be for sale as I'm trying to make the transition to a "real" race car. Hopefully something with Magic Doritos.

2006 Shinka, 125k, mostly stock with Öhlins coilovers and a Pettit Racing cooling system upgrade. Also has an aluminium Koyo radiator and fresh-ish brakes all around. Will have new front hubs by the weekend hopefully so the current brake wobble issues should be solved by then, too. Had good compression when I bought it earlier in the year (I have the Mazda results) and starts fine hot and cold. Trying to have the airbag recalls done in the next few weeks.

Probably would be looking for the lower end of your settlement as-is.

Oh, and it's a Southwestern car, so no frilly parts . I never ran a Carfax on the car, but discovered the driver's door had been replaced. As it was intended to be a track car all along I didn't care much about the obviously repainted nose or the door. They fit well after all.

You are in Nevada if my memory is correct. I imagine a non stop drive to Detroit in this car is a realistic operation?

Kind of in the same boat as Boxhead, but it makes me sad that it sits in the garage more then being driven lately, and the fact I've gotten a taste of rallycross and I am going more in that direction.

2010 RX8 sport with 66k, has braided brake lines (and clutch line I've not gotten around to installing) Hotchkis FSB, T-rex LS coil swap, as well as others that could be included if wanted.

Dyno when completely stock.

OE coils that were towards the end.

Shoot me a PM might be able to work something out.

I am - about 40 minutes South of I-80/Reno.

I've put quite a few miles on it since I bought it and wouldn't hesitate to drive it to SoCal for a track day or places like Laguna Seca which are a 400+ mile round trip. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't make it to Detroit either, although I would probably stop once or twice - Google Maps says it's a 30h drive...
