Who wants a 1st Gen Odyssey? $850 SOCCER MOM SPECIAL!!

1998 Honda Odyssey. 278K 2.3L VTec.

This car has been in the family for more than 15 years. Extremely reliable. It served as a daily driver until this week.

The big problem is the trans. It will still move on it's own power, and can be made to shift through the gears, but it is on it's way out. Sometimes it locks and doesn't want to shift, sometimes it races- it's kind of an Exorcist-like shifting.

The car is rust free, has good tires, nice interior, and the engine runs strong. ALL maintenance was done regularly. Recent timing belt, water pump, brakes, oil changed every 3000 miles.

Clean title. Priced for a quick sale.

Full disclosure: The pics are a little flattering. There are some paint chips in the front bumper which do not show. Front bumper needs a repaint.

If you buy it this week, I can help arrange transport up the East Coast at a good price. Jstand's father is delivering me a car, and returning to MA. We'd be happy to load it up.

Have you changed the transmission fluid with Honda ATF recently? Made a difference on my accord.

I doubt it.

The AC works.

I'd he hesitant to recommend a drive that far. The transmission is erratic- could give up the ghost.

But there is a lot of open road without shifts between here and there!

There seem to be a bunch of guys who want a minivan engine in their Miata. C'mon Challenge People, this is half of what you need!

Soooo, did this sell yet? I live in Jacksonville, Florida and it would be a near straight shot back here. It flush with Honda ATF did NOT clear problem I have decent transmission tech to help fix problems...assuming it could make it without AAA assistance.
