I'm in Detroit, and my wife loves old british convertibles. She'll say no to this, which is fair - but I'll still try. That is a nice looking car and not scammy. Old money in the area that car is posted.
Edit: She asked me if I remember the time the city gave me a code violation warning when I last brought home a parts car... and then said that if it's worth a bunch running, why wouldn't I fix/Flip?
So, I am out. Probably don't have the right skillset/experience to delicately bring this one-owner car back to flourishing life.
LOL already being flipped for $4200:
MGA = money grubbing shiny happy person
EDIT: ok maybe not an shiny happy person, as it looks like they did a fair amount of disassembly to reach their conclusions.
