Do these have any kind of differential in the rear?

I used to autocross with a guy who had a bike engine in one. He was always either FTD or broken, but it was a chain driven solid axle and he had to drift around every corner because it was impossible to steer it.

No, chain drive solid axle is the thing.

And with modern bike power the original 1inch axle with 1/4 keyway really isn't up to the task either.

That is basically exactly the thing that started as my basis for FDat. It looks a lot less hacked up than mine was though.

If it's a true F440, then it has a two stroke snowmobile engine with belt drive on a solid axle.
