Does anyone have or know of a serviceable FJ40 for sale? I'm interested in something that runs but in need of a sympathetic rolling restoration. Not looking to flip it, rather something we can take into the woods or to the beach without fearing scratches, bruises, etc.
Bonus points for something in the southeast but willing to look further too.

Wont be cheap in any condition. We're talking Gen1 Bronco kind of money.
If you're really looking for something to scratch...Geo Tracker, Suzuki.
Do you care if it has the original Toyota I6? Do you have a rough $$ you are willing to pay? These are not cheap and are getting less cheap by the day. FBM range is from $10-55K
I've got a buddy with a '71 with 3/tree in Bronson, FL. Really nice mechanically and chassis. He's asking $28K.

FJ43, the stretched FJ40 in Orlando for $32k with humorous description
80% less for a Suzuki Samurai
XJ Cherokees and older Wranglers aren't selling for stupid money and the aftermarket for Jeeps is much better.
Thanks hobiercr. That one certainly has potential, especially since it's close.
I wish I liked the Samurai. It's certainly ~75% of the experience for cheap money.
We did the Jeep thing...not interested in going back there.
I know/knew where 10 of them are in storage in Jacksonville. Unfortunately the owner is in Okinawa and was never sober long enough for me to make a deal.
There are usually a few on BAT at all times, many of those in Florida. This one looks nice

My neighbor has one in pieces that he's been "restoring" for a few years now. I keep trying to get him to sell, but no dice so far
