WTB: Minivan or SUV Cleveland and surrounding, my wife was in a accident and our Mazda Cx-9 was totaled. I now work from home so looking for something cheap and family friendly that I would only use maybe 2-3 times a month. My budget right now is $3,000 and lower. I am open to any make, prefer hitch, but I can always add it. I live in Ohio okay with rust if it's not a safety issue. Preferably something that doesn't leak all over my driveway. I have tried facebook and craigslist either they don't speak English or never answer. Or sketch dealership in the hood, ideally a member owned car would be fantastic.
I'm really sorry to hear about your wife's accident, I hope she is okay. You know that I did insurance for my entire career, so if you need help let me know.
I'm on vacation at the moment, so I don't have a picture right now, however I might have something for you. It's a 2000 Nissan Quest. I just bought it a couple weeks ago, in fact I haven't even done the title work yet. I bought it from the original owner. He was an older Indian gentleman, and the van was his wife's. For its age, it's in very good condition and was clearly well cared for. It would fit very nicely within your budget. We bought it with the intent of using it to drive ourselves and our dog around to race events, but are rethinking that idea so we might be okay with letting the van go. I'm in atlanta, but I'm sure we could find a way to get it there. If you're interested, let me know and I will send a picture tomorrow afternoon. I will chat with my wife about it as well.
Over here on the last page of my Prius thread you will see that since Feb I have been talking of selling P5, my 5th Prius. Generally, I just like having the spare car around.
Sure, its not an SUV but it sure is handy with the hatch and all. The back seat is very kid friendly.
I'd have $3,500 in mind. The tires are only good for the remainder of this summer season but I can include a set of real winter tires with it.

9 week old ad. That to me sounds like the asking price of $3,700 should come down. Seems to have started at $4,500
All things Buick are overlooked also. Van looks nice but looks like sketchy used car dealer
The Ford Taurus X is overlooked too. This was the Ford Flex before the body improvement

Just a FYI Philo Bolok is a scammer with the Buick Terraza. I have had some really bad luck on facebook. We only have one car and its hard to get places to see cars, because my wife needs the car, the ford looks interesting but too far.

I had a Montero like this. Rated for 5k lbs towing. It just doesn't tow that much quickly given the V6. MPG of only 16-ish.

Most of the sketchy East Cleveland dealers go to Pennsylvania auctions and buy cars that wont pass PA inspection (perhaps for rust) and then bring them to Ohio where there is no inspection. Without lifting a finger they put them back on the road.
You have a PA history. Do you know anyone stuck with a car that needs too much to reasonably keep on the road in PA? But, bring it here and it's good.
The ad for the Suzuki Vitara says that the PA inspection expires next month. '02 Vitara w/ 120k asking $2.8k Is probably a 4 cyl but there is a tiny hitch there. Could be just rwd. The tell-tail will be the 4wd model has a second, smaller shifter in the console. The 2wd drive has no second shifter. Roof paint is bad and some other spots of clear coat failure. I'd start some conversation but drag your feet towards Aug and this should keep getting cheaper
ended getting a 2003 Dodge Durango to my wife dismay, they took some kart parts on a partial trade. Needs some exhaust and header work that I am likely going to have to push to a shop or try and trade it in for another vehicle.
I sold the Durango so I am still on the look out, for something that won't get me in trouble with the neighborhood.
Still have the minivan if you're interested
