My father had a 1970 280s like this one but in dark green with a tan interior. He ordered it for delivery in Germany and then he and my mother toured Europe for a few weeks and then returned to Germany for the car to shipped to the States.
Unfortunately, there was a dock strike in New York City so the car was eventually shipped to New Orleans. That delayed getting the car back for several months.
After many years, the car succumbed to the ravages of time and salted winter roads of northwest Indiana.
