Nick Mason is the likely previous owner of this car. He is an original founding  member of Pink Floyd. He is very well known among classic car afficionados (especially in England) and his private collection is among the finest in the world...

That very well could be the case as well. The seller of the car only mentioned that the current owner acquired the M1 "directly from the Pink Floyd founding member in a private transaction."

At any rate, previous ownership by any of the Pink Floyd founders is way cool, and I hope this M1 goes to a good home. smiley

I have a fantasy of someone calling me up to say they found an old BMW in a barn that the owner wants hauled away, and all they know about it is it has two BMW emblems on its tail.  smiley (The M1 is the only BMW that came with two roundels on the back.)
