My wife reads a lot. Like most of us if you read a book by an author you like, it's reflex to search out more. The local library had a "Valentine Surprise" rack, books wrapped in pink heart filled paper and no identifiers.

This is a romance detective mystery story, the hero is an Earl or something; rich, dabbles in detective work and is hired by Scotland Yard.

Laying in bed last night she asked what a 1948 Healey Elliot looked like.

Hemmings Sports and Exotics did an article a year or so ago about Donald Healey and his son driving one across the US. It may have been the green roadster above.
