This picture was taken at 6:30am yesterday, as my boys and I were preparing to leave for a day of autocrossing. By the time we got home, the transporter had picked up my TVR to deliver to it's new owner in Maine. Bittersweet, I must say, but I'm sure any of you who have sold a vintage car that you've owned for a while know what I'm feeling.
Ah I've even thought about selling the GT6 to fund my racing, but after my drive last week I could not bare to do that.
Still hollow feeling.
What is that in the garage?
It's another '74 2500M. I'm in the process of building that one, and it does help to dull the sting of selling the white car.

I sold my 1954 BMW R68 w/Steib sidecar 3 years ago to a collector. I had the rig for over 30 years but due to a history of injuries couldn't ride it much. once or twice a year. He split up the set and the bike is undergoing a museum quality restoration at the premier BMW shop in the country. I could never afford to do that. I still expect it to be in the garage when I go out there occassionally but am pleased that it will be magnificent in the next few months.
I miss her but she's in good hands.
