Does anyone have any opinions or thoughts on the A series crossfow heads that are listed on EBAY?

Got a link? There are a bunch of designs out there IIRC. A lot of the Mini crowd in the UK use BMW K100 motorcycle heads for a reasonably cheap conversion.

I can't seem to create a link. They can be found under " mg midget performance", all catagories. They sell them three ways: bare, assembled, and complete with twin 40 DCOE'S. Just curious to know about quality , etc.

I was going to post a link, but after a quick look on Ebay I couldn't find the item.

As Tim said there are several designs out there. Could you post the item number?

They where relisted, maybe that's why they could not be found. I just looked, EBAY #230451791091. The store name is "British Starters".

Produced by Pierce. http://www.piercemanifolds.com/

I have not seen any hard data. I know of one person that fitted one. He said it seems to have made an improvement, but has not had the car on the dyno yet.

I think Pierce based their design on the minisport 7 port head. The one on Ebay appears identical to the one sold by minimania.

Dollar per HP ratio would be pretty costly unless you're building full race, I'd think.

True, but with 4 intake ports it an easy step to ITB and megasquirt without all the mess created by the siamesed intake ports on the 5 port head. That's the only reason I'd consider it. I would be better off spending that money elsewhere though, so a 7 port head will stay in the dream about it pile and not cross over into the do it pile.
