Something I should be aware of, but just saw.  Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili turns 110 today, as it was formed on June 24, 1910.  It was not until Nicola Romeo took control in 1915, the name changed to Alfa Romeo in 1920.  So Alfa Romeo is 100 years old this year.

Good for Automotive Trivial Pursuit.

Great record. It was sad when they were absent from the North American market for more than 20 years.

It really annoys me when ignorant people call them 'Alphas' - ever notice that?

All the freaking time.  Alpha Romero.

Still, not many Alfas of the last 20 years were great cars.  At least the cars we drove in Europe- while they looked nice, they were just FWD cars, and  the anemic diesels really hurt them.

Had Fiat led them down the BMW path, like they should have, where the current Giulia would be a natural development instead of a ground breaking return to the passt, well....   I could imagine a 220hp 3.0l RWD GT and Sedan back in the mid  90's....

Hey, that's when you find good deals on cars... when the names are mispelled.
