Yeah, Tim was our guest speaker a few years ago. All our guest speakers say they had a great time. Actually, everyone that comes says they had a great time and like our show. Party is on Friday Night before the show. Y'all come on over.
Last count was around 180 vehicles pre-registered. We always have more just show up. Going to be big this year. I think we have people coming from Florida this year, driving their car. They should get the Long Distance award. Hope they don't get the Hard Luck award. This Saturday (party is Friday night.) Don't miss it.
I was part of this most excellent a few years ago and had a great time. I have been trying to get back as a civilian, but haven't had time to put it back into my schedule. Maybe I will get invited back again as the speaker (hint, hint) as I had a blast.
We had a good show again this year, despite the weather. 2 inches or rain in a very short time left us with 4" of water over the park we use, combined with the Chilli Pepper run rescheduling their event (draws 10K people) to use the park after we already rented it, it was a mess. We wound up having the show at the hotel, as any of our cars (except maybe the LR Defender) stood little chance of getting through the park. 200 vehicles registered, a new record for us. 5 Lotus there: 2 Elise, 1 Seven, 1 Esprit, 1 Elan.
