If I built a Cobra kit car, I would do a light as possible small block car (no flares).
The number of big block powered, massive tire Cobras out there is a bit ridiculous, a narrow small block car would be way more unique and interesting to me. Probably a lot nicer to drive also.
That sure seems like a car you could enjoy for a few years, put 5-10k miles on, and get your money back.
