Seems like nearly every town/metro area now holds a cars and coffee event. A week ago I went up to Jacksonville for theirs--nice mix of cars, friendly people, and live music, too. A few pics: http://www.automotiveaddicts.com/39417/automotive-addicts-cars-and-coffee-october-2013-recap

So, which ones do you attend?

Cary, NC

Usually has a good mix of modern and classic, generally a pretty huge turnout as well.

We have a Caffeine and Octane in our area. Cars and Coffee name I understand has been copyrighted. But way, way too many new cars at our event. The classic guys are trying to split off. http://www.caffeineandoctane.com/

Knoxville has one at European Auto Garage every other Saturday, it is a good mix of cars, but fairly small. And totally dependent on weather. If the weather sucks so does the turnout. But we were at the last one standing in the shop looking at some race car projects they were working on when a Testarossa showed up and backed in the open space at the garage door. Yowza! that was cool.

There is another one hosted by the local Porsche, Acura, Infiniti, and Fiat dealer that is HUGE! I think every car guy in Knoxville comes to that one and it meets a couple times a year.

I've also been to the one in Nashville, and that was a really really good one. Nissan has their HQ in Nashville and there are some serious car guys with some seriously cool cars there.

The Nashville event is my local one and I've never gone, but I hope to change that next year. I hear it is pretty good.

Lubbock, Texas has a Coffee and Cars event on the first Saturday of the month. Ricer to restorations, Ferrari to Deuce-and-a-half, Cushman to Scout ... Not a heavy turnout, but it's still fun.

The Boston area has two monthly C&C gatherings that operate through the warmer weather:

Local megadealer Herb Chambers hosts a monthly event that rotates among several of his high end dealerships. The one I've been to seems to attract mostly newer high end stuff. Porsche, Corvette, Ferrari and so on. My "driver" Tiger almost feels out of place.

The Lars Anderson Auto Museum also hosts a monthly event, but I've never been to that one.

Austin has a pretty good one out at the oasis. It's the second sunday of the month. There is a pretty good mix there and they usually have a featured club or make for the event. You get a ton of the vettes, mustangs, and camaros out there but the last one I went to had everything from early alfa's to a countach. I look forward to having a car to really participate with this year.

I've only been to one Cars & Coffee and that was the granddaddy of them all in Irvine, CA ... the one that started it all. I was blown away. I can't speak for any of the clones, but I don't know how any of the others could top that. After all it's SoCal. It was in the parking lot of the Mazda USA headquarters about 10 miles inland from Laguna Beach. I was told that Chip Foose shows up occasionally. And Publisher Tim's best bud Jay what's-his-name shows up occasionally. They weren't there the one time I was, but Reeves Callaway was.

Automotorplex near Minneapolis has one. It's amazing how many rare/classic/exotic cars there are in a place with only four months of sure-thing good driving.

Closest C&C to me is about 1 1/2 hours away. But in Central MD we have what we call cruise-ins and are sponsored by a local car club. They are usually in the evening. There is one in Frederick (usually 30-50 cars)the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from April thru October. Also one in Mt. Airy (15 miles east)on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays (usually 50-100 cars). Then there is one in Hagerstown (20 miles west) that draws 200-300 cars every Saturday.
