All summer long I've been following a MGTD project car.  It's missing a lot of parts and at one point the engine had been swapped for a Ford Flathead.  So the drive train was gone.  but the price was where I tend to buy. ( cheap).

Sitting on my shelf are most of the pieces I'd need, both front fenders,  one rear. I built a street rod small block Chevy motor/ trans  back in the 1980's for a friend who destroyed the car it was in.  It's been sitting for over 3 decades and might need a little disassembly/ reassemble if the rings are stuck but should only need gaskets and rings.

I'm sure I can strike a deal but that might mean a labor swap. It will be fair but probably a few weeks of work on that darn TR6 of his.  Have I mentioned in the past I hate the color Green?

I kept seeing a hot rod MGTD  But if I did that then my MGuar goes on the back burner again. With fewer parts left to use building it.

I decided to play it sensibly and didn't jump on a Maserati Ghibli 4.9 when one came up for sale locally, as I wanted to sell a Jensen Interceptor convertible I owned first. By the time the Jensen was sold, the Ghibli was long gone (to reappear on the market in the US for double what I would have paid for it).

The car gods were kind, though, as I then came across an Lamborghini Islero S (one of 100 made) for even less money than the Ghili, and jumped on it!  Probably should have hung onto it for longet than I did (5 or 6 years).  Always seem to just miss the market....
