Looking for someone who might be able to do appraisals on classic cars in the Pittsburgh area. Mustang experience even better. Any ideas? Tony Branda was a dead lead.

If you want them cheap, I can print up some official-looking business cards and lowball a number for you.

Maybe if it didn't involve family.... I'll be grabbing some pictures on Sunday to post up for the forum's viewing pleasure.
I know a guy up here in Connecticut who is an MCA judge and appraiser. I doubt that he'd travel that far, but he may be able to put you in touch with someone else in your area.
If you don't mind shooting me an email through the site, I'd appreciate it. I guess we're a bit spoiled here in Detroit, I never thought this would be such a big issue...
I'm in Pittsburgh and have my 1967 Mustang fastback I/dad bought me in the late 80's. I have a general idea of values, but I'm no appraiser. But I do know there is a Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club that is active, and someone in the club should be able to steer you in the right direction. I've been to and in their all-Ford show at Shults Ford in June. On their website, past newsletters have club leader contact info (I just looked at the Feb. one) - that should give you good local leads. I'm also interested in what the cars are - PM me if you don't want to post details yet. Good luck.
I should have added I also have some suggestions for you if you plan to try to start them - at a minimum, pull the distributor and prime the oil pump. Fresh gas. Try to turn it over by hand on the crank. Etc.

Oooh, good lead! I'll try to contact them tomorrow. Whatever the outcome ends up being, I'm grabbing quite a few pictures when I go on Sunday. I'll go through and post them up. For obvious reasons, I'd like to keep this under my hat as much as possible. While it's not like these are particularly desirable/$$$$$$ cars, I know news like this tends to spread like wildfire within the car community.
FYI, it was a 74 Hurst/Olds W-30 and a 15k Mile 69 Boss 302. The boss was a PERFECT example of a "Day 2" car.
I'm not getting into why it didn't happen, but I am terribly disappointed. Moreso that they were sold to someone outside the family than anything else. I'm sure someone's going to do a "restoration" on the Boss and try to flip it for just south of 6 figures.
All is well, I picked up my Z06 last night.
