A friend of mine was telling me that he found this book at his local library, so I went to eBay to pick up a copy: Classic Racing Cars by Cyril Posthumus. The only places I could find selling them were based out of the UK, so though it looked like a $10 book, it turned out to be closer to $30. I got a copy of each one, though.
I haven't read it yet, but it does have lots of super-techy diagrams that are great to dig through. Anyone else seen this guy's work before? Was this book ever actually published in the U.S.?

In reply to Alan Cesar:
Yes,
Cyril did several articles for Road&Track. He did a lot of research on older models and always had the schematic drawings. As I recall he also had a pretty good, if dry, sense of humor. You will enjoy your buy!

I've read his stuff in old copies of R&T. With a name like that, I always wondered if he was real or fictitious.
For some reason I always thought Cyril Posthumous was a fictious person, possibly associated with the Cyclops.

In reply to spitfirebill: He might write under an alias but he has written several good articles and books, mostly from years ago racing. He is very meticulous in his reporting.
