I'm sure that this will jinx it, but it almost (almost) feels like our summer heat wave has broken. Does that mean it's finally convertible time? And how's the weather doing in the rest of the country?

The weather in Michigan has been fantastic this week. The high today is supposed to be 79 F, which I think is quite pleasant. I wish I had an actual convertible...

If you're not allergic to sweat or rain, it's almost always convertible weather.

My wife and I recently put more than 4700 miles on the Miata for a trip to Colorado. During the course of that trip, we had the top up maybe 15% of the time. I loved passing through light showers @ 70 mph with the top down. We never felt a drop!

Finally in OK something under 100F. 60 morning and 90 by 3pm. My Spider has sat for the last 2 weeks and it beckons me.

Out here, it's been convertible weather since about mid-June, although at the moment it's a tad hot in the afternoon. But the aircon in the 'vette gave up the ghost shortly after I had the alternator changed and it's even hotter in there with the roof up.

It's always convertible time. Not so sure it's always top down time.

This week here has been top down weather. I like that. Soon it will be fall, and that's great top down weather.

With My MGB, the windshield throws the rain over the seating area at speeds over 45 mph. With the TD ya just get soaked at any speed!

We had a late start for 100+ temps here in Phoenix and (believe it or not) it has started to cool already. Had some rain the last 2 weeks and it seems to have taken the edge off. Took the Alpine out for a few hours yesterday and plan for an evening dinner run tonight.

Back east they have a hedgehog that decides if winter stays around for another few weeks. I guess out here the sign of both ends of summer is the apperance and disappearence of scorpions. Haven't seen one in weeks. Maybe summer's over?

Ya-Ho?

What do you mean, "finally convertable time"? The top down is the only air conditioning that my Miata or Spitife have! That being said, It has been very hot this summer and since I'm in South Jersey; very humid as well.
