At one time the Ferrari GTO was just an old racer... I love old 8MM film, here's a great short.

Wow. Thanks! The narration helps a lot. It's like StoryCorps for car guys.
EDIT: I just realized that the Chris Cord in the vid is actually the Chris Cord from the IMSA series.

"Here you can see the Ferraris performing what they were intended to do at some point, to cause problems for other people."
The narrator mentions that he was 19 or 20 when he owned his GTO. If I was him, I would be happy with that life decision.

And I bet he regrets the decision to sell it every time he hears of one trading hands at $30 million.....
Stephen, the maker of the film, is a friend. His GTO is currently owned by Ralph Lauren (he sold it to Alan de Cadenet, who sold it to Lauren). He also, for a short period of time, owned the Breadvan. He also had a couple of Lusso's, and currently has a 575 Maranello.
He recently did a documentary on the Carrera Panamericana, and is currently working on one for the GTO's. Great guy...lots and lots of cool stories.
I live vicariously through him.
Nice makes me want to shoot video more often when driving my GT6 around. Laws are different now. So need a passenger who is a decent shot :)

Or a GoPro with the right mount. You'd just have to stop a lot to change camera angles.
Yep.
Specially easy when you have a roll bar in the car.

Or just holding on to the camera and having fun.
