Anyone ever heard of the Google 3D Warehouse? Yeah, me neither, but I stumbled on this today: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=9ff832af2e425663e15314dee6ba8de0

Never saw or heard of it, but now that you had me look and got my interest, what the hell do you do with any of that? The downloads seem to be in some strange ".skp" format so what can I do with that? I like 3D models so I'll investigate further if you give me a clue or two.
I dunno... I've never seen it until yesterday. I see it's tied into some online 3D program called google sketchbook, which I've never heard of either.
Sketchbook is a free graphics program that's been around for a year or two. I've seen people using it for drawing up building plans, that sort of thing. There are a bunch of libraries out there of various objects people have created (like the car pictures you found) that can be shared between users. Architectural elements, furniture, all kinds of things. Say you were drawing up plans for a new garage, you could grab one of those images and put it in the driveway. http://sketchup.google.com/
