The crew and car will be on their way to Amelia Island in about 15 minutes. If you see them on I-95, honk.

Congratulations to Tim and his crew, on his win at Amelia today. A big well done, to everbody that helped.
We had a great weekend, and I'd probably say that even if we hadn't brought home a trophy. Really. Bill Warner and his crew put on a first-rate event, and besides trophying, we had the added bonus of meeting and visiting with several readers. (Most special for me was that a couple of readers since our earliest publishing days were standing with me when Tim received his award. It was nice to be with folks who knew our history and shared our joy.)
Yes, congrats to Tim (I know how much work he had in that car) and Gary (ditto) and Tim McNair, detailer extraordinaire (we couldn't have gotten that final bit done without you).

Spent the day at the Amelia Island Concours de Elegance - Group 44 cars where great! Tim and his teams's GT6+ looked great after the fresh restoration and won best Group 44 car. I got to spend time with Tim and Lanky (Group 44 Crew member from the day) describing the car prep. It was GT6 racing advance course! Looking forward to the Mitty! Thanks Scott
Thanks to all who came to Amelia. I know I seemed a bit distracted, as I was absolutely exhausted. We finished the car at midnight Thursday night. I also was asked to be a judge and trying to focus on getting the GT6+ on to the lawn and judge at the same time proved to be challenging. We also have some sorting issues to deal with, as we had brake lock up and overheating issues to deal with. Lanky Foushee loved the car and congratulated us and quickly diagnosed the problems. Having the original crew chief standing with you at Amelia has its advantages! I got most everything fixed this evening. Bob Tullius, a tough guy to please, also said he really liked the car. What a dream come true to hang with those guys and win an award. Wish I had been more awake to enjoy it.
Congrads to you and your crew Tim! Lanky Foushee and Bob Tullius, shades of Wayne's World ........... I'm not worthy...........................! I want to see some new pictures of the car at speed in a vintage grid. Hope to see you out west some time.

Great Job guys, the car looks great, as did all the Group 44 cars. Thanks for the link to the video. See ya at the Mitty
Steve
Congratulations to Tim and Marjorie!
It was a great pleasure to finally meet them both at Amelia after subscribing to their magazine going back to Auto-X days. And what a job on their Triumph; it was gorgeous. Having arrived from Maine (with snow still on the ground) in our TR8, made seeing all the Group 44 cars also special.
Keep up the great work on both the magazine and cars so that the rest of us can continue to enjoy.

Margie was in heaven that she could witness our winning an award with long time readers, Tony and Kathy. This made the weekend that much more special for us.
As for seeing the Group 44 GT6+ on a vintage grid and hearing it at full song, that will be easy. Just come to the Mitty!
Since Amelia, I have made a list of twenty thing that need to be sorted and have almost half of them done. The plan is to get enough things sorted to show the car at the Winter Park British car show April 4th, take it to our test track April 7th and then hopefully, if things go well, finish sorting at the April 17th Savannah SVRA event. We'll see if things work out, so we can stick with the plan and then race at the Mitty. No matter how things turn out, we will be at the Mitty with the car and run it in the pre-race Group 44 parade laps on Saturday.
