In a box of old mini parts I recently acquired was a speedometer. Initially I was excited because I have been wanting to replace the metric unit in my car with one that reads MPH.
It is a 120 plus speedo which means Cooper S if I am not mistaken. But it is in an early single gauge pod and has angled bezel which I am unfamiliar with
I won't discount the notion that it was swapped into the pod 40 years ago, although It looks untouched.
120 plus 10 means 64 or 65 Cooper S, right? Earlier cars were "120 dead" and then later came the 130mph readings.
If it weren't for the single pod I would just think it was a 64 S unit, but did they have the angled bezel? I have never noticed that before.
