I have started to play around a bit with my 1987 Mercedes Benz 190e Cosworth...The leather on the "shoulders" of the rear seats is somewhat tough, but not rotted or cracked.

Im wondering what the general population is using to treat/restore leather with?

None of my cars have leather seats, but I use Meguiars Rich Leather Care on my ancient bomber jacket, a leather coated steering wheel, my leather coated briefcase, etc. I've also used Lexol leather conditioner, with equally good feeling results. But the Meguiars has a nicer fragrance.

My dad swore by Connolly's Hide Food.

Looks like they call it Hide Care now.

Leatherique is the best there is but a pain to use and expensive. It will o amazing things to leather though and can even bring back cardboard hard leather to soft leather again.

Another vote for Leatherique - I bought some to revive the seats on my E30 after reading the recommendation over on GRM. Made a massive difference and if/when I run out I'll certainly buy more.

Leatherique is fine, if you can stand the pain. However I have had very good luck with the conditioner from Griots.

I also agree with the Griot's conditioner vote. The stuff is a lot like Leatherique in the way t workd. I would be VERY careful what leather you use it on as when I used it on some of my DB7 leather it did pull some of the dye out of the leather. Like all these products, test it first on leather that is not easily seen to see if it does this.
