Here's the SLR that I saw at Goodwood:

And now for my submission, what is this:

Keith I remember when that car first surfaced and with much embarrassment, I must admit the Blue Healey stumped me! Fun stuff!

Just for conversations sake, when it comes to that blue Healey, what came to mind was the Tickford Healey. Without digging into one of my old books or doing the dreaded banded google, what's the difference between the Tickford Healey and the Healey Westland?

Okay, saw this one at a car lot in Macon, GA. Its been a long time since I saw a car and had absolutely no idea what it was, so I went back to find out.

That's a Nissan Figaro. Looks like it came to the US via England, as I believe they were JDM only and that's a UK plate.

BTW, the red Miata was known as the Miari when it first appeared as some sort of Ferrari tribute by Mazda. It was rapidly turned into the Miata Speedster show car, which was a nice wine red. It got repainted orange later in life and still is. It also appeared in the original Fast and Furious movie in the background of the NOS shop.

Keith beat me too that one. I've posted images before from the UK and there was one on Mighty Car Mods a few years ago that people in this country may have seen.

Bingo. Only about 20 of these in the US right now, according to internet sources. Turbo 4cyl, based on Nissan Micra, Only made in 1991. This is a roadside we-finance lot.

How about this one (the green one)?

I cheated on that. And I have to say I'll be really, really impressed by anyone who can recognize that without internet aids.

Also, I dig the lines in the parking lot.

My grandfather was partial to these, simply due to the name. Hint, it's a Datsun.

That was my great-grandfather's middle name. They used the name for the street that his house and blacksmith shop were on.

Not a Datsun. Keep going.

It's made by a European manufacturer that was eventually absorbed/bought by VW.

We have a winner. Well, close enough!

This is actually a Paykan. The Paykan is based on the Rootes Arrow / Hillman Hunter.
Paykan

My Dad was assigned one of these when stationed in Teheran, Iran. Yes, I was there too. The car really was a hunk of junk. There were 5 different keys for all Paykans. Didn't take much to steal one. Of course, if you did the regime would cut off a hand.

There are more than 20 in the USA. They pop up on BAT more than you'd think, at least 5 on the site in the last few months alone.

Well I missed last nights offereing. I would have been close but no cigar. I knew it was a Hillman Hunter and would have guessed it was the Indian continuation model from the bonnet badge, but I wouldn't have know it was called the Payken without looking it up.

Now that I didn't know. Who?

OK, this one was my DD for about 18 months and only running car for about six of those. It's cheating a bit as it was a kit car.

I want to say Davrian, but I'm certain thats not what it is. The headlamps looks very much like Elan +2 units.

As for my submission, the manufacturer starts withs S and ends with A.
