Today I was on a Craigslist trip to but a lift deck hand truck, the hand truck was not quiet what I wanted but close enough and the weather was GREAT

In my travels I discovered something today I have never seen before a Sunbeam Alpine fastback neat looking car and over all seemed to be in great shape the car was blue on blue with a (boo hiss hiss) auto trans, from looking at the car it appeared to be complete.

(This is not the car)

Now I know NOTHING about this car, the more you tell me the better.

I did talk to the owner he said said the car might be for sale and that I should call him in a few days.

I know rust would be the first thing to check but other than that what else should I look for, are parts still around?

Thanks Paul

See also "Sunbeam Rapier".

There's one serving as a goat hill on my father-in-law's farm. The goats got it after the chickens were evicted.

Not that great a car. We got them in Canada. I saw them when I bought a Sunbeam Imp - also not that great a car with front swing arm suspension, but a brilliant little engine (Coventry Climax).

You can still get parts in the UK, however I'm pretty sure there isn't much in the way of body parts that's still available. IIRC the engines respond well to some tuning (look for "Holbay")
