I think I still have some machinist's bills somewhere, but I didn't start racing there until 1973, so out of period. 
Get hold of Mike Adams in Regina. He is the font of all knowledge when it comes to racing in western Canada.
You mean "Wetwood". Always seemed to rain there.

Mid 80's, I think.
It was 1990 when it closed (at at least that's what I recall).
In regards to finding info on Laurie Craig, the OP might want to try contacting Tom Johnston (formerly of Keen Engineering) as he's done a ton of research on Westwood and racing in western Canada.
There is a FB community under "Westwood Race Track" although it is small (6 members) and photos are all bike racing from the 60s....
