well i got a mercedes 240d from my friends sister for $300 and im wondering what i should know about this car. it seems to be in great shape, little to no rust and the engine need a little work to get it working perfectly but other than that it seems to be a good little car.i was wondering if i should know about any pros or cons with this car?

Slow. It's a slow car. Don't get caught up in trying to make it fast. You'll waste a lot of time and money, and it will still be slow. So embrace going slow. In a dignified manner.

agree it is very slow, passing at hiway speeds are questionable!
but the up side is they are great on fuel mileage, easily into the hi 30s, and long cruisng possible low 40s.
