Title should be Pacific Northwest Historics... Silly lesdixya
I'm looking at going on Saturday, early. I'm bringing a Friend, his step son (14) and my son (3) any hints from anyone who has gone before? Good places to watch at the track? Can I bring food, or must I buy?
Also Amazon Local has ticket deals.

July 11-13 the Historics are in PIR....
and Datsun is the marque being celebrated
Traditionally the Portland and Seattle races are a week apart. I don't have advice on the Pacific Raceways event, but the Portland one is always a good time.
Pacific Raceways is fun because there's a lot of elevation change and you can roam around the infield to various viewing points. Turn 1 at the end of the front straight is just a mild bend, but turn 2 is a carousel of more that 180 degrees, leading into a steep downhill with a sharp S-turn at the bottom (turns 3a and 3b. A lot of cars end up in the weeds trying to negotiate that, so it can be pretty entertaining.
Unfortunately, I have other commitments that weekend, but I plan to be crewing for the red P1800 at Portland the following weekend. C'mon by and say hi -- we're pretty low key when we're not in panic mode making repairs.

The weekend after I will be in BC for the Kamloops Highland Games. A friends son is playing in a band.

We when last year and it was awesome. It took us 30 minutes to get through the parking lot because it was so full of cool cars. We are doing it again this year!

I spend a ton of time every year just wandering through the car corrals and walking the paddock area. The races are cool and all (especially the big-bore races...the sound!), but I think I enjoy walking the paddock and talking to the guys that are hanging out with their cars wrenching, prepping, fixing, adjusting, etc., as much if not more than watching the action on the track.
A cool spot to hang out and watch for a while is the last set of turns before coming back out toward start/finish. You can watch the cars come off of the backside of the track and go through the 7-8-9 complex, sometimes setting up for overtaking on the long main straight.
Just got back. It was awesome. Will post pictures
