Oil stains on concrete

Damn!! My five week old new concrete driveway just got devirginized by the in-laws leaky truck. I never got a chance to seal it. Anyone have any good success at stain removal? This stuff is like a sponge. Arggg.

Park an MG over it. Before long, the stain will be nicely blended in.

As an owner of three MGs, I gotta agree with Tim. Driveways have to have oil spots in them or they aren't proper driveways! I guess it's kinda like the first scratch or dent in a new car, it bugs you at first but after a while, you don't care anymore.

There is a product that you can find out there, even at Wally World. The PO of our house had left some and I decided to give it a try, with that driveway wash and a power washer the stain was gone.

The only reason I did it was because I had the stuff. Owning a Land Rover, and a diesel, gives driveway stains a whole new meaning!

park a few MG's in the driveway, and then connect the dots, fun for the whole family!

Triumphs and Volvos also work.

I recently heard or read somewheres that oven cleaner can often remove oil stains on a driveway.....try it on a smallish spot.

Sop it up and get the enzyme cleaner from the local part store. This is what Leno uses in his cleaner tub. It will eat the spot for lunch.
Don't use it on asphalt since it eats all petroleum products.

That's way too cheap of a way out for him. He admitted he should not have parked the truck on the driveway. Feeling guilty as he is, I figured I could get him to cough up for an extreme remedy, not something under $10. There's always getting preferential treatment in his will....

Forgot to add, that I really don't care much, but my wife (his daughter) is the one giving him all the grief.

Ha forget the will. He would likely only leave you the old leaky pickup truck and have the last laugh.
