After the Cars and Coffee Saturday morning I took a little trip to Columbus OH for an open house event.  I had wanted to go in previous years but either I had an event, or the weather was horrible.  This time I only contended with occasional rain, so what the hell.

I like their idea of decorations.  There was old Fiat and Lancia everywhere you looked.  Inside, outside, around the side...  I had met the owners at Mid Ohio when I volunteered for my first race and my partner said I had to meet them when I told him I had a Fiat.  I then read about the Acura drivetrain swaps they do in X1/9's, and I'm still keeping that in the back of my mind.  It made me wonder if my friend still had that all-black X1/9 for sale.  Hmm.

I never thought I'd say, 2018, that I was stuck behind 3 Yugo's.  The mossy patina'd one was also full of ants, at least one flat tire, but was running under it's own power quite nicely.  Turned out a rallycross friend was buying it and planned a Lemons Rally and possibly rallycross (both of which were my first thoughts).

I was the only Abarth there.  A few other newer 500's, SWMBO met me there in her 500X, and many old Fiat's and Lancia's.  They posted a video, but I can't seem to embed it.  Where are the cool kids hosting photos these days?

I've known Jon, one of the owners, for years. When he said he was going into the Fiat repair business I thought "That will never work". Others had tried it and failed. Jon's made a good go at it and seems to crank out an excellent product. Fiat owners have historically been cheap bastards so it is nice to see them finally paying for quality.

In reply to ddavidv :

He seemed to have quite the biz going on.  I am still thinking about that black X1/9 knowing this place is so close.

I've bought parts there and used their website for lots and lots of parts ooogling. And learning some things too.
