Oh oh.
Gotta re-torque the GT6 Mk1's head...
Noted a whistle and other associated sounds the other day when I get the new carbs going.
Been avoiding due to the fact the job involves removing the intake and exhaust manifolds.
Hope its only a re torque issue and not something else.

I'm also thinking I might ditch the month of May and install my MJLJ ignition stuff.
Biggest part of that job is removing the rad to gain access to the pulley.
And if I'm doing that, I might as well do an electric fan too.

Oh, it's always those "might as wells" that get you! :nice:
You mean like, oh might as well do some paint and body work. Ah it will only take a few weeks....
Yeah I know about those :)
Ok now I remember why I did not re-torque the head...
- Jack up car to.
- Drain rad.
- Disconnect hoses.
- Remove intake & links.
- Disconnect header.
- Remove valve cover
- Remove valve train.
Only found a few nuts out of spec, but did discover a burn spot on the #1 exhaust port.
So replaced the exhaust gasket and put everything back together.
Next up, I'm just going to remove the rad and install my new ignition system.
