Same post as last week, but renamed in hopes of some positive action:

Im trying to find somebody that will restore the steering wheel. The leather is in great shape, but the foam padding is breaking down and needs replaced.

Any guidance would be welcome.

I found this thread when I was researching recovering my steering wheel.

http://www.thehogring.com/auto-upholstery-forum/auto-upholstery-forum-group4/auto-upholstery-tutorials-forum6/how-to-cover-a-steering-wheel-by-jpm-thread273/

So I looked up the guy who wrote it here: http://www.jpmcoachworks.com/jpm/

Perhaps you could mail it to him.

As much as I like vintage race cars built to period correct specs, I do have to make exceptions when in it comes to cockpit components when it comes to driver safety and comfort. If you don't have a quick release steering hub , I recommend you getting one and buy a nice formula car steering wheel and a spare quick release hub for the old wheel for show.

That's a good idea! Surprisingly this car is super easy to get in and out of. I wouldn't have believed it had I not tried.
