Since we are posting classics, I submit this as the best burnout ever.

The best way to learn is through experience.
These film clips are about as exciting as noise contests for car audio systems. The only good thing I saw happen, the vette clutch! PERFECT!!
How do you not notice the wheels aren't turning? I guess you can do a "burnout" with just the clutch....

Because most people don't understand that the easiest way to break something doing a burnout in a manual trans car is to do something besides flooring it and side stepping the clutch when the tach hits about 1000 RPM past peak torque. The proper execution sounds brutal but it's actually pretty easy on things compared to trying to ease into it like doing a brake stand in an auto, and consequently smoking the clutch, or letting off early and having the tires actually grab, or worse yet, hop.
