I'm curious: What would you guys do with one of these?
Given the apparent condition of these cars, I'd probably strip all that was usable & rare. Then I'd contact the best scrapper I could find.

If you did that, you would have missed out on huge profits. Some of those cars went for 6 figures.
And many of them were stored inside:
Some of them were stored indoors.
I wanted one of the "new" 79 Impala sedans just because. I would have cleaned it, made it driveable, fix the crap like the headliner and enjoyed my "new" 30 plus year old car. I actually signed up for online bidding and planned on doing just that, but the hassles involved kept me from it in the end. The Impala's like that went cheap, under 3k, so I think it would be fun for the money. The Cameo, early Impala's, and some of the other "new" cars and trucks should be preserved IMO. If there is one thing you can be sure of opinions on this auction vary greatly, but I'm just glad it happened. I heard rumors of this place and saw some pictures years ago, but at that point it was just rumors and speculation...I had no idea where the place was or what the story was behind the cars until this auction came along.
