Ok, so I swapped a '92 240SX 5 spd transmission into my '66 Datsun roadster with the help of an '84 Diesel P/U transmission front half. It all works great, but I have a few questions about it all....
The "hub" or "collar" as it may be called will fit any of the Roadster, 240Z, 240SX, or Diesel p/u throwout bearings......
Would it matter which bearing I used? Would the 240SX bearing, being a newer design have any advantages?
The bearings have slightly different diameters at the point where they contact the fingers of the pressure plate (the roadster being the smallest, 240SX the largest)...Will that affect the pressure required to depress the clutch to a large degree?
Her's hoping someone might have some experience/insight....
