Downhill skiing apparently wasn't fast enough for some people, so they decided it would be more fun to ride their skis while being towed by motorcycles and cars.
Naturally, It was only a matter of time before those daring individuals made a competition out of it as well.
Having been a skier for many years I find this entertaining and scarey. I have a friend who has cut ski runs on the hill which makes up the front of his property. We used to get pulled back to the top 2-3 abreast using a snowmobile, younger and dumber back then.
