Let me be the first to welcome you to the official Classic Motorsports magazine website.
We've made some changes, so let me show you around the site.
1) Cars and Projects- Here you'll find all of our magazine projects. There you'll find web-exclusive updates and videos as well as the very latest progress on the cars you see in Classic Motorsports. You'll also find the the latest Readers Rides entries on that page.
2) The Classic Motorsports forum- Well, you're already here on the forum, so you might as well join the conversation. You never know who you'll meet or what you'll have in common. A note to users: Just like any social gathering, there are bound to be differences of opinion. Please exercise some courtesy. We're all here because we love cars, but feel free to discuss whatever (PG rated) topics you'd like in the Off-Topic section of the forums. Please keep it civil. Good manners count too.
3) The Club Corral- Whether you're already in a club or are looking for one in your area, the Classic Motorsports Club Corral is intended as a resource for you. By listing your club in our database, you'll qualify for Classic Motorsports giveaway items for your next event or club get-together. We've made some changes here to make it easier for clubs to edit their own information, but if you're having trouble please send me an email and we'll get it fixed for you.
4) Classic Motorsports Event Calendar- Looking for something to do this weekend? We list events from around the country, big and small, and serve them up on a page just for you.
Looking to add your event to the calendar? Click here to see the instructions.
5) Classic Motorsports articles- We've got more than 50 articles from earlier issues of Classic Motorsports available online, and we'll be adding more soon. Looking to buy a classic car? Check out our buyer's guides before you go shopping. Looking to rebuild your SU carburetors? We can help there too.
6) The Classic Motorsports Store- In addition to finding clothing with the Classic Motorsports logo, you can find subscription and renewal information, an index of available back issues, and other merchandise.
Looking for something?
The new Classic Motorsports site makes it easier than ever to find what you're looking for. There are two methods I'll show you here.
The Classic Motorsports Encyclopedia on the home page will filter out all the other information and let you find articles, projects, how-tos, and other information specific to whatever manufacturer you select from the pull-down menu. Try it out, there's more here than you thought!
Of course, there's also the search window toward the top of each page.
Sharing with your friends
On most of the pages of our site, you'll see the "share and save" box in the upper right corner. This is designed to make it easy to post a link of your favorite article, reader's ride, project car update or any other item to your Facebook or Twitter account. You can also send the link by email with yourself to come back to later, to a friend to help them find it, or to your club newletter or mailing list.
Voting and Comments
Most of the pages you'll find here are designed to get your feedback as well. Feel free to comment on the articles or vote for your favorite cars. We're listening, so speak your mind and tell us what you like!
Thanks for coming to our website. Our staff shares your passion and enthusiasm for classic car culture, and we're glad you decided to spend some time with us. Enjoy the site, and if you're having trouble please don't hesitate to send me an email so I can do my best to help.
Enjoy!
