Sometime in the 1970s, this 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing was put into a garage, where it would remain untouched until 2018, nearly 50 years later.
We caught up with its current owner, Robert Torre, who purchased it and did a complete mechanical restoration.
While this didn't win any awards at The Amelia, it did earn some at other concours in New England. Does a car have to be perfect to be concours-quality? Not necessarily, as this one proved.
What a Great Car. I'll bet it will do 100.
