What to do with old car mags?

We have a cars/coffee group in my home town and we bring old magazines once a year and put them on a table for anyone to take. It beats me tossing them out.

That's a great solution. I'm still hoarding, but we've moved enough times in the last few years that I'm back down to a "reasonable" collection through attrition.

I sprinkle them around work.

After I clip off my name and address, I'll sneak a few into my doctor's and dentist's offices. They're notorious for having long waits and the worst quality reading material on hand. Also I bring a few of the better ones to my barber. He's sort of a car guy but only subscribes to R&T, so I augment his reading material with my old stuff.

Not car mags, but my father cut up all his old motorcycle mags and used them to wallpaper his back yard shop. That was about 30 years ago, and they have largely faded quite a bit, but I still think it looks very cool.

Yeah my CMS collection is growing. It may be time to go digital.
