Thinking out loud: The way I see it...If I were in charge...
Id use the printed magazine as a hub for all things CMS. Not just put more of this or that here or there.
What I do want to see is maybe a searchable libary of old articles, a club section with a "wall" to post events. Of course some online articles and anything cool...maybe some interactive stuff. Even some links to sponsors, in a seperate section.
I dont want to see more auction stuff or more of the same stories on the net that I just read in print...

Back in the good old days, people could post build threads in the reader's ride section. Now that it is all improved, you get like one picture of the finished or "before" project. The word "Boring" jumps to mind.
Bring back the ability for people to gawk at the insanity of others. An example would be Nocones who was building an awesome MG Midget project posted on your site until he was forced to take it elsewhere.
Take note of the "Epic Build Thread" on the GRM board to see how it attracts attention and has staying power. Build Porn rules!

What I would REALLY like to see is a single log-in for both GRM and CMS forums. Having them split seems like a real waste, IMO. Nevermind the fact the log-in never seems to work consistently for me on CMS.
