Lost count to be honest, but I believe 12 years went by to get where we are now.

I rather like the rear sans bumper.

Yes, a very nice looking back end and car as a whole, but a real beast to drive. I miss the BN7 I used to have access to in high school, some days I think about buying one as a project, then I remember how difficult it was to work on, so I'm sticking to Lotus' and MG's for the moment.

Cheers, Rod

No kidding...why do you think it has taken over ten years?! Best way to describe a Healy is "A collection of Rube Goldberg Machines traveling in close formation."

I saw quite a few Big Healey's at the British Car Show today in Bristol, RI, both in the spectator lot and on the show field. Really beautiful cars. I love them. But awfully low. How does one keep the exhaust from being torn off during ordinary everyday driving? (That's a rhetorical question. By being very, very careful, I would assume).

Nice! Get it on the road and enjoy the sound of the big six....I vintage race a '57 100-6 MM and always hope to see more big Healeys competing on the track, but enjoy every one I see come back to life for the street.

My relationship with Healeys is unusual. While I have been working on them for over 20 years, I would say that I probably have not driven one more than a few miles. That was enough for me.

Compared to the Midgets, MGBs and Miatas that I have had, the Healey felt like a transport truck. A beautiful transport truck, but not something that I ever felt the urge to hurl around a corner. I also fear that one of the many (expensive) Rube Goldberg machines that comprise the car is going to go off-kilter.

As a car to tinker with, they cant be beat and I seem to have lots of opportunities for that at someone else's expense.

Looks great! At least you made progress. I know of guys who have made ZERO progress in 12 years with all kinds of excuses.

I happen to be the catalyst in these projects. There are currently 3 people who I work with on their projects. They commit to one day a week and there has to be a defined project and beer. I insist that both be completed by the end of the session.

Any progress is progress.

This feeds my sick need to work on old sports-cars that I really have no interest in owning or driving once they are complete.
