Thats neat but I don't get why you take an engine out of a great chassis and put it in a very similar chassis. Why not just buy the viper. There are plenty of salvage title ones around.

Because this then makes their 2JZ Viper swap easier.....
I would imagine it has a lot to due with all the blown 2JZ engines that the "doriftobros" scrambled with very questionable ways to increase boost.

Yeah, plus a lot of totaled Vipers from rich guys with no concept of snap oversteer. Makes sense, I guess.
Kinda liked wrecked newish Mustang GT + million-mile-motor Volvo wagon = victory.
