As the leader on the internet of esoteric information and sources, I ask you, GRM... how does one get a "new" dashboard for a 1980 Toyota pickup? And for that matter, carpet, seat covers, etc.
Kickass example on FB marketplace for a good price, but the interior is completely berkeleyed. Any leads are heartily appreciated.
I don't have the quotes around my username yet- I'm losing my job shortly, but I'll pay up. I can afford.
Oh, and my duck duck go fu is seriuosly lacking today because I cant find a carb legal (thank you ca) injection conversion.
IDK about dashboards, but carpets and seat covers should be easy enough to find. I mean, it's simple to find carpet kits for a 2-door Dodge Raider/Montero, which were sold in way smaller numbers.
These are probably made by the same companies. Usually have a couple choices of carpet style, backing, etc. They tend to fit fairly well with a bit of work.
I got the carpet for my 86 RN Truck from JC Whitney a few years ago. I made the seat covers myself.
Awesome job. The dash is the bitch.

It's a 1980. It shouldn't need to be CARB legal. 25 year exemption and all.

I think there isn't a "25 year rule" in CA. It's 1975 and older that are exempt.
