I wonder how such a 4-wheeled car with a "diamond" wheel layout would handle. Only 1 wheel producing turning forces instead of 2 seems like an inherent disadvantage to the traditional 4-wheeled layout, maybe front & rear wheel steering could correct that?
In the Cyber Formula anime one team ran cars with this layout, another had one with a leaning body and outriggers.

Lol. The 'pissing dog' that typical FWD econoboxes do when autocrossing would probably just become a rollover. Like a reliant robin with another wheel hanging out the back.

They say production will start next year. Funded by a cryptocurrency sale...
Hey, if gas prices suddenly jump up again, it could make them very relevant just as suddenly and surprisingly as the fall in gas prices made them very irrelevant.
I met a guy near Carlisle PA that had one of those.
He also had a huge collection of mannequin heads........... and a sex dungeon, seriously. We were lucky to get out of there alive!

That assumes an even worse weight distribution than a stock Reliant Robin. It shouldn't be unstable as long as weight is mostly kept inside the perimeter defined by a line between all the wheel hubs.
Turns out it's been tried before and there are some potential advantages, the proper name for this is the Rhomboid layout:

It's obvious why they haven't caught on for street cars though, the packaging disadvantages are huge compared to a traditional wheel layout for fitting into a pre-existing lane size.
In reply to Joe Gearin :
Now I kind of wish I had a sex dungeon. Not because that's my sort of thing, but because it might make me appear more interesting than I actually am.

It was......interesting, and also really creepy and more than a little frightening. I'm actually surprised we got out of there before we got hit with the chloroform rag!

A friend of a friend had the problem that most of the equipment is a lost investment. There's just not that big a resell market for swings and toys, if you get out of the market, apparently. Maybe a new BaT spinoff is in order?
