Well, I have gone my whole driving career without getting a flat, and today, I got two of them.
Both were at the same corner The left rear tire did not hold air really well; I would have to add a few pounds every few weeks. It wore extra heavy on the outside. This afternoon, I change lanes and I feel a light "pop." Great Thankfully, this happened a half mile from a tire store, so I got a new set of tires, since all of the tires were pretty worn.
Well, I get home tonight (I was out of town), and I can smell tire as soon as I get out of the car. I see that the same corner has almost no pressure. I remember feeling a slight sidestep when I was braking earlier, but I didn't think anything of it. Hell, these are new tires!
I will have to wait until tomorrow to investigate the problem further. Until then, is there anything that I can mull over? Possibly an alignment issue? Maybe a wheel defect? I don't know if the same wheel was used for that corner or not. Perhaps some unknown karma is catching up to me?
Today was so nice out; I should have taken the bike.
