On a 2000 4runner v6 5speed, it seems to shift in and out of 4 high while driving (binding up and making bad noises) with the transfer case shifter firmly in 2 high. Any idea what could cause this? It seems very strange because it's one with a manually shifted case so the only electric /vacuum part is the front diff disconnect. It has 200k miles on it and both the transmission and transfer case leak pretty bad and although they have fluid in them now I am certain it has been driven without sufficient fluid on the past so I can't imagine that did it much good.
