I am at my wits end with my truck. It stalled in a car wash, after an hour it started right back up. I have gone through and done the following and now it won't even fire.
Parts replaced
Cap,
Rotor,
Coil,
Wires,
Things i checked
Spark,
rotor orientation,
firing order,
engine codes,
Fuses,
I can spray quick start right down the TB and it won't even fire, not even a sputter.
any ideas greatly appreciated!!!!
Had a similar problem once, there was a noise filter capacitor on the distributor that was failing.
But if you're getting consistent spark at the plugs then it's probably cursed and the car wash is haunted.
Ignition module? I got a free S-truck, because it just died one day, and the guy was tired of nickel and diming it back to life. I got it running, but it shortly died again. My smart wife said it was the ignition module - $26 at Advance Auto Parts. It's a small part the goes inside (underneath?) the distributor.
I also had a similar problem once with a sheared distributor shaft, the shaft would slip, mess up the spark timing, then slip back into the proper position and it would run fine. Giving a strong spark the whole time so it was hard to diagnose.
I berkeleying hate distributors, see why I'm switching to coil-on-plug?
Reset the fuel? The inertia switch can berkeley things up sometimes. Just a guess.

The hall effect sensor was my next guess. I am going to check the fuel pressure @ the schrader tonight.
