Do you have one line going to the rail or two? I don’t have a 2005 anymore to check.
So now the truck is warm and will not start. Gauge reads 10 lb of pressure at the fuel rail and won't build pressure. On this pickup truck there is a box in front of the fuel tank that has three lines running to it and I can feel one line pulsing. Guess I got to find out what's in that box.
Watched that video, I guess the 6.0 Sierra is a unicorn because the fuel pressure regulator is not there on the engine.

Thanks for that, so it is in the tank and it sounds like I got a faulty unit because tonight I started the truck and it's only running 10 pounds of fuel pressure but the truck still runs?
Fuel pressure is still low this morning is there anything that would keep thepump from building pressure besides it being faulty?
Here is a couple of options:
First, I would grab my labscope and go to the pump fuse to check for voltage and amp draw with the pump running. Then I would voltage drop the power and ground sides of the wiring to confirm which segment has a problem, if any. Following confirmation of the electrical continuity, I would compare amperage draw to pressure created, and decide whether there is a mechanical problem in the pump, either an internal leak in the module, or an issue in the pump.
Or, I might pay somebody who knows how stuff works.

Just an FYI, the Dmax is a 6.6 liter.
When you google the part there are a lot of listings for a 6l duramax for that year that obviously has a completely different fpr

If I knew of such a person I would certainly let that individual fix it.-

Could you enlighten me on why an OBD2 port would fail? I have tried two different code readers and it shows nothing
What should the amp draw be on a fully loaded pump in static position all injectors fully loaded both rails? On a single return system

Not sure what you mean. System pressurised, engine not running, zero. producing 60 psi with the engine running, kinda sixish amps maybeish. Two isn't enough. 12 is too much, I think.
